We have a problem with customers entering plurals and getting different results.
Ex: mug = 65 results
mugs = 43 results
we can use synonyms to fix this, but we'd have to know every possible search term that our customers could use which could be 1,000's of different values.
In our opinion, anytime a customer searches on a singular or plural of a term, they should always get the same results.
Is there an easy way of handling this?
We are using CS Cart 4.2.x
Thank you for contacting Searchanise and thank you for the detailed information of the problem. Unfortunately, it is how Searchanise works by default at the moment and the only workaround is to use synonyms. But our software engineers are aware of this problem and they are working on improving search algorithms. The improvements are planned to be implemented into Searchanise in the nearest future.
