The following instructions can be used for stores based on the Shopify platform.
In case you'd like to learn how to set up filters based on product option names and tag prefixes, please check out our article about it here.
Go to the Filters section and press the plus button.
Enter the filter's title, e.g. Color. Next, choose the Tags attribute, which will be used for filtering.
Next, you need to add values for your filter. Click the blue plus button.
Add tags associated with the colors in your store.
Note: Tags should be named according to the list of the supported colors — https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css_colors.asp
Please don’t forget to click the ADD VALUES button after you choose values on one page.
All tags can be edited after you add them.
Next, go to the Filters main tab, click Edit Filters, and find the filter named Color. Change the Appearance type of the filter to the Color value.
This step can also be done another way. After creating a filter and adding color tags, go to the Settings tab.
Change the Appearance type of the filter to the Color value.
After setting the appearance type of the filter, you'll be able to adjust the Color Family of each tag/color in the filter.
Now you have the color filter on the search results page.
